Gallup Frog

Gallup Park. Frog. I call him Shakespeare. Don't you think that little flipper on chest pose looks theatrical?

Power Boxes and Birds

Just off E. Liberty near the down town Boarders Store. I believe the houses behind have been converted into some kind of hair/nails salon.

I wanna play with the big boys!

Our spud up front may just be a little too quick on the draw, he's not quite ready to play with the big boys in the yellow bags yet.As pointed out to me by the guy in front of me at the "15 Items or Less" lane at the Busch's on Green and Plymouth Rd.

GROW!

Spray painted in the alley by Alley Bar off Liberty near Main St. It's a fabulous tree of life ... and paint.

Stencils, stencils

By Alley Bar, off Liberty near Main St. Bob Marley, Han Solo and I think the one in the white is a saxaphone. Email me at a2asart at gmail dot com if I'm wrong. But hey, if it's Bob Marley and Han Solo in the same damn alley, then it's already one frickin cool alley.

City Bus

This sign serves as a reference for all. Not only can you get on the bus here, but if you stand in front of the bus you, too, can be flattened like this little bird.

Danger: Road Kill, Next Six Miles.

Easter Message

Well at this point in my diet, I'd die to have a candy bar.

Hmmm. Might need to check that syntax.

Water Tower

The idea was cute. They had a "design the water tower!" contest and some sweet little kid came up with this design. In the crayon colored picture the real clouds merged with the painted clouds and camoflaged the entire water tower. But as far as camo goes they should have painted it a blue gray and not a bright aqua. Maybe it was supposed to be hopeful, but the truth of the matter is that it just inhances the feeling of depression every time you look up and realize the sky is nowhere near as nice a blue.
I'm on a mission to stalk the water tower now and see if the sky ever does reach the right color.

Early March: no match.

M GO BLUE Barn

Is it just me, or is the M GO BLUE barn painted a suspicious shade of Ohio State red?

As seen on Scio Church Rd.

Blog's Back!

A2 just got too frickin cold this winter and all outdoor photography had to stop. Sorry. I issued my own damn winter weather advisory.

But yesterday topped 55 degrees so I'm back in the game. I've got some new shots, some old ones, some cheap shots some good ones. I'll let you decide which is which.

The unbelievable grayness of the end of a Michigan winter continues. I like it when it snows. Or the day after it snows when it is invariably sunny. But on those day(s) leading up to the snow? It's just this hanging, heavy, gray, constipated sky.
