Art Fair 2008

The booths are up along Main Street.

In the image below is the roof top dining for the resaurant Palio on Main street, Palio's parking lot, and a great big line of port-o-potties.

I know if I was Palio's manager I'd be pretty pissed that my "rooftop view" was now the best seat in the city to watch people take a leak.

Rain on the Roof

Sun shower caught me Geddes Road. ... well, more like sun-downpour that had traffic at a crawl because of pot holes that had quickly turned into lakes. There's some pretty sweet distortion going on here between the rain drops, the water sliding down the window, the wipers having at it and a big ol' flower petal sticking to the glass.
Rain on the roof ... the sun roof of the Civic that is.

Bell Tower

One of the more recognizable landmarks of Ann Arbor, the big ass bell tower in the middle of main campus. And if you're a student, not just a Big Ten fan, this is the structure you think of when you think University of Michigan (opposed to the largest outdoor stadium in North America).

Sunset

Booya. Yes, I took that. We got up on top of a parking structure by State and E. Liberty just at the right moment. The trick to getting photos like this is having a camera that lets you adjust the focus yourself; an auto focus camera will never get this shot.

Cake Nouveau

I was intrigued by the whimsical window of Cake Nouveau on Forth Ave, but as the girl who stepped out of the store to give us girls with cameras the owner's business card, the cakes on the website are even more amazing.

Golden Lines of Power

Looking out west of Main Street, near the north end of downtown. About an hour before sun set.
